NADIA TAPASILI JATI O ADIBASI JAGARAN SAMITY , a non-government organization was established on 4th September , 1991 by Dr. Ratan Kumar Barai (Email-ratankumarbarai@gmail.com ) ,a reputed headmaster working in this capacity at Satkari  Banga Vidyalaya ( High ),Malancha-Mahinagar, P. S. – Sonarpur, Kolkata- 7000145, who began the organization along with others to work for the socio-economic development of rural people, to work for happiness of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled  Tribe and backward classes of people and to work for their primary needs – employment , food, cloth, education and other necessaries of life and also to  provide financial assistance , free education and free primary health care to families experiencing poverty and treated backward & distress in the society collecting funds from Govt. Along with this it has included an oath to establish Training Institution like  D.El.Ed.  Courses and B. Ed. Courses and also school & college for general education.

NADIA TAPASILI JATI O ADIBASI JAGARAN SAMITY has two teachers training colleges – Dr. Ambedkar Primary Teachers Training Institute (Recognized by N. C. T. E. and affiliated to West Bengal Board of Primary Education ), Dr. Ambedkar B. Ed. College (Recognized by N. C. T. E. and affiliated to West Bengal University of Teachers Training, Education Planning and Administration). PTTI was started from 2004 and B. Ed. College was started from 2016. One has been catering training for Primary Teachers and another for Secondary & Higher Secondary Teachers . About 200 students get teachers ‘ training in every academic year in these two training courses. Most of the successful trainees has got employment in primary and secondary schools. Colleges also provide special classes for competitive examinations for TET and School Service Commission for their trainees and as a result they become able to make good performances in the competitive examinations.

SAMITY began educating children from 2003 and started an English medium primary school in the year 2004 and saw immediate result. The children who were given access to good education were healthier, happier and increasing their literacy- the critical step needed to gain employment and break the cycle of poverty. With the success of the education program the samity has constructed its own school building in 2017 following the modern concept of education and about 200 students are getting education from Nursery to class –IV. The aim has been extremely successful.

Every year on 14th April the society celebrates the birth anniversary of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar with some colorful social & cultural function showing responsibilities to the society. In this program Society give Dr. Ambedkar Sadbhabna Award to 15 persons who have special contribution & dedications to the society in the field of Education, Health, Humanity & Aarness. Dr. Ambedkar Medhabritti Award is also given to the backward students of these two institutes who are meritorious and financially backward but performed good results in D. El. Ed. & B. Ed. Final Examinations. It has Ambulance service for the financially weaker section in the society .Society gives medical service at free of cost through its Kamal Kanta Charitable Clinic it means the organization has commitment to provide free primary health care, treatment and medicine to those who most need it.
